The winds of the past two days have made conditions more variable. Soft boot top powder can be found meters away from hard wind blown slabs. It is a fun time searching for untracked lines with soft snow.  The Granite Mountain fatality sadly reminds of the need to pay close attention to rapidly changing conditions and the whereabouts of our partners.  There is still some top quality snow out there, what a great start to 2016.
