First time visit for David, many years since my last time. Ended up at two dead ends following a trail. The snow was still deep and trail-breaking was laborious on the upper part. We felt the snow near the top was wind affected, but not enough to form a cohesive layer, just somewhat dry and "chalky" powder. We got the summit after 3pm, talked about a possibility of another headlamp ending. Skiing was great in deep light-side-up powder and fun in trees too. We ended up skipping most of road skiing, straight down to the highway below in short time. It wasn't dark yet!!
Up on the ridge after peeking the S side:
Admiring those shwacker tracks on Jim Hell:
David descending:
Almost continuous for ~3000', not bad for a little hill!
