Whistler Backcountry 12/15/15
« on: 12/16/15, 11:25 PM »

Rare combination of old preserved cold powder made for what could have been a perfect backcountry day........long story. Flute, Obeo, and Cowboy Ridge each had 6" - 2' of great snow on a bluebird day many days after the storm.

Sounds a lot like some of the classic Deer Valley backcountry epics.

I haven't skied Deer Vally but with cold temps and relatively sunny weather (compared to the PNW) I'm sure you're right. These types of days in the Cascades are rare!
