Dec 2, 2005, Towards Nordic Pass

 Spent the morning pushing a skin track up past Siver fir with thoughts of gettng up towards Nordic pass. Laborious solo trail breaking when the track I was following turned off mid point. 24-30 inches of a fairly uniformly dense snow on a 1inch crust of so in the trees away from snow grading activities The short stretch of groomed slope I had the ease of skinning up had 8-10 inches of pretty nice light snow. Off the track on top I became weary of trail breaking alone and soon invented reasons why I should be back home to attend to family activities. Had to stay on the steeper aspects on the way down to maintain turn speed and ended up with just following my uptrack back down to maintain speed.
