Best shop for tele mounting in Seattle? was created by ski_photomatt
Marmot was my go to shop, so any recent recommendations? Preferably somewhere with a mounting jig? I've had some bad mounts and rip outs over the years, would prefer the binding stay firmly attached to the ski!

REI has jigs for the bindings they sell. Last I knew Pro Ski, North Bend could do it. Choice thin locally for tele. I've bought skis locally twice lately, had them shipped (free shipping, no sales tax) to Telemark Ski, in Dillon, Colorado, bought binding from them, mounted and shipped back to me (again free shipping and no sales tax). Kind of a hybrid on-line / brick and mortar thing, but hey, it's tele..

I thought all tele-skiers mounted their own bindings.

The biggest thing that helps with binding rip-out is using slow-cure epoxy for gluing in the screws.

Most shops use standard binding glue for gluing binding screws and that isn't nearly as strong or waterproof as slow-cure epoxy.

Stuff that make mounting your own bindings much easier

If you're gonna try a home mount, let me know and I can help with the tools/gear needed as I've been mounting my stuff (and C's) for several years now.

I just had some bindings mounted by Pro Ski Seattle on 90th and Aurora. Don't know how good of a job but the bindings are attached in what appears to be the right place. Good selection of tele boots too, which is why I went there. Hard to try on boots over the internet.

Pro-ski was willing to entertain a really complicated mount for me (inserts for TTS) - so I'm obligated to recommend them... The Pro-ski on Aurora.

Greenwater Skiis is the only place I trust to mount my Tele's....has been for over 20 years, even if Louie isn't there. They also do a great job getting rid of the factory tune.
