Continuing cold, clear, nearly calm weather this week has kept a nice soft carpet of 2-5" hoary powder on sun sheltered aspects. On Friday I found S and SW slopes below the top of Southern Cross to hold variable depth cover and variable strength crust while others (with heavier skis) found those slopes to hold fun turns.
On Saturday, warm sun on Hollywood provided creamy turns on SE slopes and more corn like conditions on S slopes. Skiing E and NE lower down was on the 2-5" fluffy hoar with occasional surprises lurking below the surface, especially as we approached the base of Southern Cross lift.

I got some surprises lurking up here for you by midweek. This place is going to be off the hook and uncrowded.
