Left Heather Meadows around 830. Only a handful of other cars in the parking lot. Skinned out Bagley Lakes and roughly followed the summer trail to Herman Saddle.

There's definitely a rain crust (supportable) at Baker. Snow varies between boiler plate rain crust and soft 1-2" snow. There was enough soft lying around on convex features and in sheltered areas to make some fun turns - not the greatest but enjoyable enough for 4 laps on the upper slopes. Skinning was tough for us splitboaders in some areas but ski crampons (which 1 out of 3 of us had) helped big-time. Saw plenty of hoar frost on the way up but didn't notice it on way out, maybe the sun helped. Some small avy crowns but nothing big and no instabilities observed during the day. Very quiet - only ran into 2 other groups all day.

Gorgeous day. Shuksan and Baker are sexy, sexy mountains.
