You have really want to get some turns in if you want to make this ski outing happen.  Continuous snow begins at around 8200 feet, however you can hike up the rocks and access the snowfield at around 9100 feet if you don't have ski crampons or regular crampons for trekking on the icy conditions, especially in the morning hours.  Here are what the ski conditions were like.

You get around 1800 vertical feet skiing the Muir Snowfield and then after a 200 or 300 vertical foot carry you can ski another 400 to 500 vertical feet.

Ah, that thin line between passion and obsession!

Wow.  That's so hard to watch...and yet so hard to turn away.
I love the spots where he seems to check his watch.  What's he thinking?  "How much longer can I rattle my brain inside my skull without stopping?  Will I get off this heinous dirt ice gnar track in time to make it home to catch 'Golden Girls'?"
Good on ya for making it happen.  Going biking now.

Seems like it would be easier/more fun to ski the Bruneau Dunes  skiing the dunes

It was my first time skiing in September and first time in Washington. Glad to hear that these are not normal conditions. I still had fun!

-Welcome To Turns All Year  :)

Hear the song of the Turns-All-Year skier,
Who follows a sport some think queer.
Snow all ‘round the seasons
Makes really good reasons
To exercise, then drink strong beer.

BAY and TAY go together like peas and carrots.

Beers All Year...
