News from the guy who sets the standard for skinning enthusiasm:  "I ended up with 358 days for 12 month season ending aug 31.   I got 10 days so far this year and snow amount real pathetic now or real hard to get to.  Snow of Sheridan starts at 13200ft after hiking 1200ft with 100down then up. So far sep got 10days. Last sep I was able to ski every day since snow did not melt as fast too sunny warm this july-sep!"

Skinning 358 of 365 days at age 68, wow!  He's skied at least one day for more consecutive months than many on this forum have lived, 432 (that's 34 years.)
Tom is a legend. I met him on Rainier and wrote an article about him that Powder published last year. He certainly is a humble guy who just wants to ski.

Stay young, ski powder (or I guess blue ice this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere).

Interesting side bar to that statistic - he started that astounding record at the ripe old age of 34.  There's hope for me yet!
