Chile has some snow. Not a ton, but better than the past 8-ish seasons.

Went from a long ski tour behind Valle Nevado recently. There's a lot of great ski terrain that you can see from these ski areas but have to walk many hours to access. We skied from the resort of Valle Nevado into the Rio Cepo valley. From there we hiked up the opposing wall of mountains, the Cordón del Cepo. We came to within 200m of the summit of Cerro Klatt, then skied past the super-remote Laguna Cepo, and exited down a different valley, eventually returning to the Rio Cepo for a descent of around 5,700'. A circuitous exit track returned us to Curva 8 on the road below Valle Nevado.
