The skiing was actually better than the last two Septembers I've done on the snowfield.  the way was pleasantly empty in the early morning. Two rocky gaps meant hiking to 7800', then skinning to 8600' where the route goes around the rock rib and suncups were growing to bathtub size.  I got 1200' of skiing to 7140' with the two carries.
The snowfield ending about 7400' has the lowest decent turns.  Some guy was headed for the Paradise shoulder.  I inspected the P-Patch on my way down, and there are still a few hundred feet of steep in a gully where the Skyline Trail crosses the snow.  The lower part has about 150' of the closest turns to the car.
95 months of TAY for me.   :)
It looks like the remaining snow could last through September if the temps continue to moderate.
DON'T GIVE UP ON YER STREAKS YET, LADIES & GENTS!   ::)
Mack, think you had better turns.
