Went up to camp Muir rather late in the day and only started skiing at around 6:20pm. Skiing down the snow field was better - smoother - than expected. Large, but shallow sun cups below camp Muir, skied well. I cut North of the uphill track to get out of the boot pack. Then lower down I cut east across the boot pack. Around 9600 things got smoother, with long smooth ridges running fall line that made for easy skiing. I only hit some stickiness around 8500 for a very short section. There was a thin cloud layer between 7200 and 9500 that reduced sun effect. Also being late and thus reduced sun effect may have helped.
