Walked in tennies to bottom of pan face, walked in ski boots to nearly pebble creek, and then skinned with only a short carry. Zach went to camp muir, I rested at about 9600. The upper snowfield was pretty cupped and rutted. But nisqually chute was much smoother and skied nicely - far exceeding expectations. There was a short carry at the bottom of the chute and then out the sticky flats to the usual climb-out point below glacier vista. So we were still able to get in about 4000 feet vertical of skiing, more than half of it very enjoyable.
