A long-planned weekday ski devolved into a Sunday hike and Monday solo ski out of Paradise.
They are starting to clear the Paradise Valley road. Bare spots showing along 4th Stream trail but continuous coverage except for the stairs.
The rain held off and I skied two laps on the N side of the back bowls. This line will be gone soon. Big hissers on the first run in the fog 8) butter smooth on the second.
Chasing the boot tracks down in the whiteout, there was good spring mank skiing to the road.
After refrescos at the car, I did a run over Alta Vista to get more snow. Precipitation started as sleet when I drove away.
I don't think I saw more than 1/4 mile all day, but the vis. on the snow was just fine. This week's weather should keep things from melting too fast.
