Hogback beta

Was thinkin of lapping N & E aspects this w/e. Maybe camping up there. Worth it?

It has been almost a month since I was up there, but at the time, the whole front side (north aspect of Pigtail) was pretty bony. I would expect a bit of hiking until about 5500'.

I had skied the NE aspect of the bowls off of Hogsback and the coverage was great in the bowl and open areas , until some steeper sections around 6200' with some branches just poking through. Where it flattens around Miriam lake had some bare ground showing at that time.

Which Hogsback? I can think of at least 2, the closest to me is on Heliotrope Ridge on the side of Baker and I bet the N and E aspects are skiing great today.

You're right, know of 2, meant the one above White Pass.  Tough call, but enticed the gf to kayak south sound at my beach place on Steamboat Island ~ scavenged oysters and some very nice crabs ~ pod of 5 Orca showed up, too..  got baked, so turned the hot tub down a bit..    did I miss anything??
