May 2, 2015, Silver Peak

Driving possible all the way to the top of windy Acres with a 4WD with some ground clearance, found continuous snow within 10 minutes walk of the top car park. Continuous skinning and skiing possible in the Silver Peak Bowl for some fun turns.

Also skied a highly enjoyable 240 ft run off the backside of Silver peak down towards lake Annette, made possible by hugging the trees on a snow finger on the far skiers right. All up, maybe a total of 1500ft of skiing.

A fun outing after work, less than an hour out of town. Can't complain, but It would get a bit boring for the whole day. That wraps up skiing off the I-90 corridor for me this year. It was good to get at least one trip to Silver Peak In this year.

Time to dust off the rock shoes!
