Careful using drones to film was created by snowdawg
If you have a drone and plan on using it to film in National Parks, be careful. www.komonews.com/news/national/Ranger-us...-park-301628531.html Also, don't be late for the gate closure at MRNP or they might start tasing people there. "Don't tase me bro"

... "He was described as being very unpredictable, belligerent," Ferracane said of Sanders. "The ranger felt he needed to be stopped for the safety of himself and others."

That's one of the things LEO's can say about anyone and there's no disputing it without video of the incident.

Exactly.  And I don't want to get too deep in the weeds, but threads come up here about confrontations with LE and it's fair to remember that LE trains themselves to 'protect' their reports, often with carefully chosen buzz words, such as 'belligerent' (instead of 'assertive', for example..) and phrases such as the rest quoted..  Realizing that the numbers of LE that we apparently insist on outruns the number with innate calm judgement, one is wise to be vigilant and calm in dealings and confrontations, and to know when you're pushing your 'assertive' envelope (which is still a citizen responsibility..)..

Although I doubt the value of targeting a national park a drone could be used to deliver a very dangerous device. If they are capable of carrying a large SLR and professional quality lens then they are also capable of carrying 10 pounds of chemicals.

That's not to say that everyone running around with a drone is a terrorist but why fly them where you know they're not allowed?

Unless they're domestic, and kids, and playing with toys, then we taze them.

It helps build confidence in our law enforcement.

No one follows every law. Some choose to be more openly defiant of laws they disagree with than others. Breaking the law may incite change.

There is also the notion that physical interactions in law enforcement are more frequently excessive for the potential risk or crime. Does someone flying a drone around taking video of trees in a public place really need to be tazed?
