April 12-13, 2015, Rogers, K Country, Das Pooder!!

Skied 70-80cm of coastal pooder in the asulkan drainage on Sunday. 50cm of ski pen made for difficult trail breaking. Measured my pace at 200m vertical per hour when breaking. My first and last day of deep pow pillow bashing this year. Isolated storm slabs were reacting to skier triggers on the tree triangle but were only propagating 15m wide. They were sliding on the moist crust under the storm snow.

Skied Tryst Lake Chutes in K country and found 20-30cm of moderate density pooder snow on top of a temperature crust/stiff layer. The alpine was wind affected but sheltered locations were skiing very well.
