April 12, 2015, Monte Amaro

Reading the excellent Mt Adams trip report (thanks!) made me sad I will likely miss it this year.  But today's tour made me all better. :)  We skinned right from the car, blue skies and light wind with puffy clouds below.  At the top we met local mountain rescue guys who confirmed our ski line and timing choice for a 2500' west chute reminding me of Adams SW but with thicker air, about 100 miles east of Rome!! 

A nap followed by a snack on our sunny hotel room patio and hot tub session has me well prepared for our five course home cooked dinner.  Sshhhh. Don't tell Rick or the place will be crawling with guidebook toting Seattlites.
