After 5 trips to Paradise, decided to ski Stevens for the first time this year appropriately on April Fools Day. 6-8 fresh on packed base and untouched terrain made for an excellent day lapping Tye Mill area. Another skier said it was a little heavy around 7th Heaven but the tracks up there looked inviting. Saw about 12 others on the mountain. No camera.

Today was more compact but still smooth hero in Tye Mill area esp. Roller Coaster. I had my old low-res pocket camera so most pics of my dog etc, not worth posting except one of April 1 tracks. We took one run up 7th. The bowl still has deep snow, getting a little heavy at 11:30 as the sun baked but north facing pockets still have light powder. Saw 3 other skiers today. And oh yeah: About 11:45, full sun, I triggered a small slough on 35-40 degree slope on Cloud 9. Picture of that below. It was small but be wary if you're on similar slopes in the sun tomorrow.

There's still lots of snow around Tye, on back side and 7th, but could be highly variable this weekend so sniff it out!

To make up for lack of visuals, here's two recent Paradise trips:
March 7 sunny and calm at Muir: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackmc/sets/72157650826564280/
March 29 screaming winds so played in Mazama Ridge area: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackmc/sets/72157651228929859/
