March 11, 2015, Snowmass to Buttermilk

After a morning of groomers and free coffee and hot dogs at Aspen Highlands I checked in with the friendly ski patrol who gave me hot chocolate, steak bites, and motivation to hike up and ski the bowl. Then there was enough time to take the shuttle to Aspen (Ajax) Mountain and take the gondola up for a top to bottom run.  After that I took another shuttle to Buttermilk with Cody where we had free coffee and Jack before he drove us to Snowmass gondola. 

From the top of the gondola we skied down to 9000' and then skinned in boot top powder and some crust to West Buttrrmilk for a nice dinner to celebrate Case Ronde's life. I'd hoped we would ride to the top of Snowmass for a Power of Four descent across Burnt Mountain to Buttermilk. My bunions cried at the flat skinning but I did complete skiing all four Aspen peaks in a day.
