Skinned Tiehack lift again then higher along the ridge toward Snowmass for a few hundred feet more vertical and dropped into untracked mellow north slopes of 5" powder that led back to the base of West Express lift at 8800'. A 600' area skin provided enough vertical to ski back to my car where I dried gear and watched my hero Klaus make his fifteen minute laps like Swiss watch clockwork. Of course it was a low wind bluebird day with lots of families barbecuing at Restaurantless West.
Then back in town in search of a restaurant I ended up with a 10 bar hop pass, but that's another story unrelated to skiing. Alcohol at altitude. Yikes.

Whats this Sugar Bowl? The real Sugar Bowl is in Tahoe...Ten bar pass at high altitude huh? Can't wait for that story. I'm heading for Sun Valley on Saturday
