Got a crack o noon start from Galena Pass, same altitude as top of Moon Rocks.  Sucked the thin air in breeze and overcast up to the level of Muir. Skied a north and east facing gully.  True north slopes held 4-6" settled powder on a firm base, other aspects had varying degrees of crust, sometimes challenging.  Skinning south slopes was slick so diversionary tactics were necessary.  Since we'd only skinned 1800' we decided to skin 2100' up to Sun Valley's Roundhouse after the lifts closed.  It is a classic place, lots of history, great ambiance, food, and service.  We skied down to River Run Lodge on soft Roy with headlamps or iPhone flashlight.  Home at 10pm.  Fun to see and skin snow again! :)
few pix from trip, the line, the man, & the exit diversionary tactics
