We decided to go for a casual trip up to Sahale this past weekend to enjoy some quality alpine time. Despite false promises such as "it's done raining" and "it will clear up in the next hour," our spirits were not dampened by the cloudy/rainy/slushy/snowy/foggy approach on Saturday. We were rewarded Sunday with stellar views and fast skiing. It wasn't exactly corn, more like sun-affect on the fresh dusting from the night before. We ran into a couple friendly split boarders on Saturday, but otherwise enjoyed the vast solitude of the North Cascades.
Nice work! How far were you able to drive on Cascade River Road?

You can drive all the way up the road until the locked gate at the Eldorado trailhead (mile 20). The road is completely snow free until about .5 mile from the Cascade Pass TH.

I reckon from the distinguishing features, that the dot in the 3rd picture is me!

Nope, on reflection, it's not me. I'm sure

Even if the snow was not perfect, your tracks are, nice work.

Wonderful, glad you guys are making due!
