Nick & I went to Sahale on Sunday.
The snow is rock-damn-solid in the shade, and it was shady until the 5400 Cascade Pass.
Above the sun had softened, but in a very February, weak solar way. The soft aspects were very particularly facing the sun, exactly.
We stopped at the glacier camp 7500 @ lunchtime, ate sandwiches & drank instant coffee, met some very nice skiiers and did some slashing of the soft snow with some windboard & some very thin ice up higher. Arriving back at the pass fully stoked & chuckling..
¦.the down bit from the pass was great, in a rock-solid way. I downclimbed the steep bit where the nice skiers had left a top notch booter, Nick rode it because hes got principles!
