Fooled by a sunny forecast, headed out to Green Mtn under overcast sky.  The road is clear to the TH, and the trail is clear to 5k where it traverse to the upper basin.  The south slopes are bare as if it's late Spring.

A few snow patches far away:

Fortunately the trail is short, and there is still plenty of snow once around the corner nto the basin and the summit:

Aki led the way to the lookout:

Maybe it's time to ski Glacier Peak!

The upper 300' was semi-hard mush, maybe recent snow not quite consolidated, then it got much better for next 1500':

Aki's flying-butt turn:

Overall, it was a nice little trip despite the big bare slopes, a nice quick hike, a nice summit with great views, and some turns!  More pics here.
Aki turns are great. The front paws/shovel initiates the turns, plus getting his own line.  ;)

I have to say that I liked Green Mountain a lot! The views were really spectacular and I like clouds - makes for better pictures  ;)

And holy moley - the Suiattle River Road is really driveable again! My feet were hurting just thinking about all the road walking at the end of Ptarmigan Traverse in 2012.

Some pictures from my camera:
