Put simply, skiing conditions are bad presently.
Objectively: nearly every rollover or ridge (or basin) contains a wet slab crown and debris from the recent rains, in some cases grand R5 slides. The debris is refrozen chunder. Runnels abound. Coverage is low. On the plus, a scant inch of new snow in places made the softening hardpack carveable. This week's midweek forecast presents an opportunity for the corn enthusiasts - Wednesday is looking delightful.
