First Avalanche Fatality-Loveland Pass was created by abreibart
First fatality occurred in that sketchy Continental snowpack at Loveland Pass. A second burial occurred as a result of an avalanche triggered by rescuers. Just gives us something to think about when trying to aid victims and keep ourselves safe during a rescue. When attempting a rescue, we should not be amplifying the problem by burying the rest of the party not already taken out by an avalanche. Nor should we put ourselves in jeopardy. Just some thoughts for early season conditions. We are all ready to ski, but need to remember the basics about avalanche safety.

For the reports, check out telemarktip.com Sorry to advertise another site, as I don't know exactly what happened and I don't want to add more false information.

Be safe.
