December 22, 2014 Silver Peak
« on: 12/23/14, 09:09 AM »

Skied Silver Peak at Snoqualmie Pass yesterday after a relatively high rain event.  Challenging skiing with a very low snow pack (12"-15").  Breakable crust lower down and supportable above 5000'.  Lots of melt freeze underneath.  Not enough snow in this area for much avy danger.  See video below for details:  (starts with some road clearing work)

I thought this would be a bit optimistic without another dump or two. Thank you for clearing the road though!

I applaud the effort, yet it still resulted in Vertical Video Syndrome.

What do you expect from a Jerry? Grin

Solid work. And thanks for getting the blowdown cleared. Might have to wander up that way on Christmas morning for some solitude.
