Decided to break in new snow tires on my rig and head to muir with rowan. I figured lots of people would be heading up there but made peace with that.

However, upon reaching pan point we just had to do something a little different.

We weren't sure about crossing the lower Nisqually but it looked like you could stay low and get over to wilson(?) territory.

The crossover went super smooth.

Low snow = more interesting rocks to take pictures of.

We were hoping to watch people ski down the nisqually chute but we only saw 2 people ski the top then bail back to pebble creek.

We stopped well short of our objective due to concern of a windslab. But the run was plenty sweet.

Resisted the inn of pie and huckleberry butter but still grabbed some good coffee at whittakers on the way home.

All in all a good day.

This is a post of stoke, no gate debates please.

The stoke gate is officially open!  Strong work!  However, please make sure you and your stoke are out by 5pm.

Thanks for doing your part to bend the stoke:moan ratio!

Great TR. Just curious the last pic, was that Nisqually Chute? or something else?

That face just across from the Nisqually chute.

Seems like a very dangerous situation - here's what I'm talking about:

Be very afraid!

;)

That video is off the chain! Good decision to break free from the crowd. Be careful out there...
