Anybody have any beta on the snow coverage in the Wallows? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I think this would be your best source for beta. I've been following the reports on this site hoping the snow will pick up out there before planning a trip next month.

Next time I'm down that way I'll have to check out the Lostine Tavern -- In prior trips terminalgravitybrewing.com/ in Enterprise was a good place to get some brews and beta from locals.

Would love to see a TR from your travels. Am very interested in snow levels in the SE edge of the range too.

Nick, we found some good snow with decent coverage above 7000'. Steep lines are in with stable condition and few hazards (cornices etc...). Snow is falling in the high country (with strong winds) today. We found car to car skiing at Salt Creek. Access to other areas will be challenging with the low coverage down low. We were going to check out Anthony lakes as the coverage looks ok there but bailed and are heading for the Sierras to chase the incoming storm.

FYI, It is the Wallowa Mountains, not the Wallowas. :)
