November 30, 2014, Crystal, Silver basin.

Maybe a dozen cars of touring skiers/split boarders in lot A.  Resort staff working hard for tomorrows opening.  Snow making machine blizzard on lower slopes.  Did three laps in basin -- powder with various degrees of wind effect over a firm crust.  Fat skiis mostly stayed above crust, narrow skiis felt the crust more.    One bad shark bite in the upper basin from a very sneaky shark -- with resulting full face plant.    Many small sharks on the Quicksilver exit, most people skiied to the base, but we walked down the last little bit -- feeling we had reached our quota of bites for the day.

Great view of Rainier from the top of Silver basin -- but wind and low temps discouraged taking in the view for long.
