Oct. 29, 2005, Guardsmans Pass Utah

It was a short trip up to guardsmans pass. From the parking lot at the top I hiked up a short distance and found the snow to be not quite powder soft but close to it. I found about six inches of this snow over rocks and dirt. There were one other set of ski tracks. I hit a couple of rocks on the way down. These were the worst turns I have had since I started going for turns all year, But I made it though and got month 14.

Way to go!  The worst is finally behind, winter is starting to return.
