heard baker got some snow down to 4000' so i decided to just skin up some groomers to minimize core shot probability, thinking there would be pretty meagre coverage. didn't expect much apart from a chance to stretch the legs and get in some cautious turns. when i got up at 6am sunday morning NWAC reported 8 inches in the last 5 hours and it was still dumping. got there to discover mid-winter conditions. literally waist deep in parts. about 30 other carloads had the same idea - the heather meadows lot looked like a mid-winter resort day.  my buddy had problems with her skins so i only got a couple runs in, but they were good ones. hopefully the rain forecasted for tomorrow doesn't do too much damage.  baker has enough snow to fire the lifts up now, but i hope they never do.

It sure would be nice if they never ran the lifts  I really don't care much for lift served skiing on big snow days.  Powder gets tracked out in less than an hour's time.  Hence; why I call it Powder Hour.

Super awesome Kaston!

hey Martin!  thanks!
