(Accidentally put this in the 'random tracks' forum to start with...apologies)

For a change of scenery Erik and I went up to Anvil Rock yesterday, instead of Muir, to get some different views and vantage points.  Like most of us we've gone to Muir several times so we though maybe we could find some quietness on Anvil Rock.  The skin up was icy, but crampons made life easy.  Winds howled up to about 7000 feet, but died down as you got climbed above.  While sitting on top of Anvil Rock the winds were almost not noticeable and the temps were nice and warm and the views of the Paradise Glacier and Tahoma were really nice.  Lots of fun to watch the groups cross the Muir Snowfield...reminded me of zombies in a way for some reason.  Groups moving 500 ft, stopping, continue moving again, repeat.  Anyways not much else to report that most of us don't know about the Muir Snowfield...just some photos and 38 straight months of skiing, more than half with Erik probably.

Cheers.
