AIARE 1 with Everett Mountaineers

The Everett Mountaineers will be doing an AIARE 1 course again this winter. The course is called Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain, but should really be called "backcountry safety" or something like that because the course material is really applicable any time you travel in the backcountry. We have a burning desire to help people be safer and we really think that this course will help you understand better how to make appropriate decisions when moving in the winter wonderland. If you're looking for an avy class this year I highly recommend this one. I took my first avy course around 15 years ago and wanted a refresher and took this one a few years back and learned a lot. It was very much appreciated.
