News from the skiing madman!! You da man, Tom.
"Here was my 1200 vt ft ski yesterday of Ptarmigan pass road above Camp Hale on a side valley called Boss basin by FS but I called sugar-pearl bowl. It is between Copper mtn and Vail pass and ski areas. It is several miles below where I skied on Machine Gun ridge in aug-sep. No walk in required just a ski down 50vt to creek and up a valley through trees and meadows and up ski run like glades to treeline. The area is pretty smooth so the 9-14 in snow was no real problem. It was powder early and great turns in upper glades but with sun and warming temp got sticky on way down. Record high temps in CO today 83F last I heard at DIA and 63F here at 10k."
