So we skied the Muir snowfield today. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...
If it were not for the 4 hour drive from Bellingham, I would be enjoying those late fall conditions that are calling my name! That photo says, I'm missing out on some epic difficult snow conditions. 

The dirty bumps are a great way to keep in skiing shape during the off season!

In all seriousness, it was a beautiful day and the turns were "excellent". Where else can you ski 3000+ vertical feet in early October with just 3 hours of hiking?

Looks like with this week's new snow we'll be returning to more typical Muir snowfield windboard conditions shortly.  ;D
