We had a great 10 days in Chile, our second time to this zone that offers a high concentration of skiable volcanoes. Our trip was definitely El Niño influenced which meant fewer summits but some really good skiing and excellent coverage. We spent two days storm skiing at the closed Ski Pucon ski area, bumped north to Malalcahuello where we had great adventures skiing from the top of Volcan Lonquimay and Sierra Nevada, and then spent two days on the north side of Volcan Llaima.

Tons of photos

Incredible lower shot there.  Any more photos of the area?

It was great to enjoy your TR and photos.  Jill and I did a trip in late October 2005.  We were lucky to have a big snow year. We skied Antuco, Lonquimay, Chillan, LLaima and Villarrica. We had a car rental which gave us the ability to ski, mainly on nice days.

Being old folks now, we enjoy reading  about your adventures in Chile.  Your next trip to Argentina ? Plus it is cheaper .... great food. ;)

Wow Ty.

I'd love to tag along some day  ;D
