6 of us gathered at James Wells's house this weekend to take the skis for a hike.  The north side of the Pinnacle yielded a decent 300' slope that we accessed from the south for a couple of runs.  One of us stuck with the snow finger crossing the trail.
The sun is getting low enough now that the slopes are not softening much.  Skins were carried but never deployed.  The weather was bright, with regular puffs of mist---spectacular.  We took plenty of scenic shots, but not many of skiing action due to the Joy-O-Meter reading.

OctTAYber turns in the bag!
Monthly totals for us:  96, 85, 84, 48, 40, and 24.
A great day in the mountains! So glad we were able to get a good group together for the day. Mack, don't forget about the number one back country dog! She was there too, making it 7 of us total.

Thank you to James and family for hosting and feeding us yet again!

Some great photos of the day.

Thanks Chris, Mack, et al for a fun day out in awesome weather on the 7th OcTAYberfest. Just enough clouds to add ambiance and keep it cool.

I had the last of the salmon corn chowder for lunch today.

nice work… Looks bone dry!  Time for snow.
