Have watched the whillans ramp ski by AF hundreds of times so joyful at how someone could be so free and 100% in the moment. Will be sad watching it from now on. All the three that died today will be well missed - may they rest in peace.

"Society has an absurd general belief that life is about hanging on as long as possible. So people [are] often hanging on for the sake of hanging on and not for really living. ... I can go on for days about this, but the important things in life are unsayable, so let's just live it out and see what we find behind the curtains in front of the big game we are all playing."

Holy hell, these were Big Heavies in our little sliding game. Humble visionaries. Sad news.

Me too Marcus, I watch it all the time, the wonderful edit, and the sublime skiing. Sent it to some of my friends this morning.

Gets harder each time to bury one of our friends. Each time brings memories of the last.
Danny Zimmerman, Jim Jack, Chris Rudolph, Johnny Brennan, Monika johnson, and now Liz Daley. All within the last few years.
Some of the most talented and vibrant people I know; and way too young to die.
Hope they're somewhere good climbing golden splitters and skiing steep pow.
