September 21, 2014, Paradise

We had a relaxing Sunday on Rainier. Walked/skinned up to ~8800 on the Paradise glacier via a wandering combo of trails, rocks, dirt and snow. Skied from below Anvil down to little Africa on the Western edge of the Paradise glacier. Some fun slushy mogul skiing quickly transitioned to reasonably smoothish soft snow.  Lots-o-fun was had. We then crossed over the dirt at Little A to the populated side, clicked back in and provided some entertainment for the tourons down to Pebble Creek where we commenced walking. Bbq's, beers, and touron sightings were had in the parking lot till well after sunset. Ms. Snoholic got her first (and probably last) TAY in.
FYI... The loop road from Paradise to 4th crossing is closed for construction.

Where did all the snow go?
