Camped out at Bob lake just north of Rollins Pass and King Lake to get turns on 31 August as well as 1 September. The sun never came out the first day so the snow surface never softened up. Made for some scratchy skiing. Then we hunkered in the tent as a hail storm came blowing over the divide. September was much better with the morning sun softening the snow for some fair turns. It sounds like October may be easy with Keystone ski area opening on 31 Oct.
