Boyne Mountain rant was created by Brooski
Maybe i'm just bummed because I'm still out injured and can't take advantage of a season's pass this year, but...

1. Snoqualmie Gold passes now include five MIDWEEK days at Crystal, unless used before Christmas or after mid-March. Renders it useless for most family guys/gals with jobs.

2. Tried to purchase Unlimited passes for my family and was notified that that product is not available. Interesting, as today is the last day for early pre-season discounts. The website is clumsy at best and unusable at worst.

I have a call into Snoqualmie regarding my misadventures on the website. I will leave it to the skiing public to provide feedback on the unfortunate Crystal 5-day pass policy.

I am tired of of the continuing decrease in the value of Crystal products and the lackluster customer service (i.e. website usability) of the Boyne corporation. End of rant.

Yeah the gold pass 5 crystal days not being prime days stinks.

We didn't buy Gold passes, which we'd decided to get this year, when we noticed the change.

Thanks for the reminder!

Managed to order a pass last night after fumbling around on that website. Agreed it's an absolute mess of a site.

On the other hand, at least now both resorts don't have to be in "full operation" to use the gold days. So you can go ski at crystal while alpy is just a bunch of thinly covered boulders and creeks.

Andyrew, didn't notice that. Makes it a bit more attractive. Betting on good skiing before Christmas is the name of the game... It could happen! I got my Nordic pass so I'm hoping for low snow levels, too. No Hyak no Nordic.

this is usually the case, so the southern resort should see even more guests this season, awesome.

The mid week Mission bonus has been going for a couple years. It came in handy last season with the late snow coverage and the man-made at Mission I got some Dec turns in at Mission Ridge.

I don't want to be that guy, but......

48 days for me last season, 20 on lifts, 28 granola powered. Hoping for 60 this season, only 59 to go .

Last year even if you 'ditched the lifts' there was no snow to speak of. Man made stuff at Mission was the best we had going until the end of January.

That's true. Mission seemed like the place to be last year. I hear the atmosphere is pretty nice as well.

Hopefully we won't have to dirt ski this year.

IMO, there's a lot of value in the Snocone/Mission pass. Turns are turns, and riding up a chair is easier than skinning, I've found.
