Shocking how little snow there is now after a month of warmth and sun. Last month the headwall of snow atop this chute was 10 feet tall and I thought would last through the summer. Now I am not so sure. Second pic from the same vantage was taken about a month ago.
Mostly cloudy in the pm today with hoardes parked at Obstruction. Sun cups were pretty rough. Turns none the less.

Yea... this summer sun has been powerful. I haven't yet reached for my skis this month... mostly been backpacking with the kids and looking for rocky adventures.
Strong effort for not much vert. Any ideas for September?
