Ski conditions were very decent on Middle Sister this past weekend.  One can still ski to Chamber Lake for  ~3K of turns.  We headed towards Camp Lake at the end and had to briefly carry skis twice to the bivy site. Small sun cupped near the lake but still OK. Nothing grabby.  Good turns & smiles all the way.  Not a ton of skiing considering the amount of total travel distance (15 miles) but it was unquestionably a very nice place to visit with few crowds. A few short videos posted at the end.

SE Ridge, Middle Sister. Weather came in quickly on the hike out

The crux - crossing Pole Creek

Wore running shoes to Camp Lake through occasional snow patches and three stream crossings. No bugs at all and no critters trying to get into gear. Strong winds from the west with 40 knot gusts at night so look for nice sheltered bivy sites between the trees on the SE side of Camp Lake and bring ear plugs.

A few videos:
- video ~7500 Sunday
- video ~8000€™ on Sunday 9-10am
- video Saturday evening ski with dog 8pm For those who have ever been chased by a dog while cycling or skiing. Tuck and hope you can outrun them or hope they don€™t make you crash too badly.  Fortunately, this one missed...
Nice TR, Cigdem.  It's good to know there is still some snow in Oregon.  The CA volcanoes were past it weeks ago.

Nice one!

Such a magic area.
