July 7 Mt Daniel

Decided to go up to Mt Daniel again but this year almost 2 months sooner.  Trail is snow free until Squaw lake where it is probably 50% snow until Cathedral pass and mostly snow free going around Cathedral rock.  There is a lot more snow at Peggy's Pond than I expected but we found a small dry camp spot and it is melting fast.  A front came through Sunday night bringing the bright blue skies the following day but made for a very windy night.  I wanted to ski from the East Peak and either Lynch or Daniel Glacier but didn't make it to the top of East Peak until 2pm because we slept in after the wind died down.  Snow was more slush than corn by then but was very enjoyable.
