Peter and I found time for a mid-week ski. Morning rain at Cold Springs and dark clouds for the rest of the morning kept temperatures low and made for nice climbing. We skied off the summit at about noon and found pretty flat, smooth snow for the first pitch down to Piker's. We had planned to ski SW chutes but we were concerned that since the sun hadn't really had a chance to heat things up, they might not be in prime shape. We skied the climbing route instead and it was great! Really flat and fast from Piker's down to the Lunch Counter. From there it varied from muck to not-so-bad.
