Vesper was good. 4" soft slush on hard surface. Weather held nicely all day, muggy before reaching Headlee but perfect temp thereafter.

From summit ski down to lake very fun. A few glide cracks to watch out for. Loose snow collected for very slo mo hissers on the steeper bits such as a nice little chute that overlooked the last stretch to the lake.

Headlee pass skiable from the top into Wirtz side but barely, and tricky with rocks.

Wirtz basin skiable to 3500, a bit cuppy and various old av fans to avoid, but it's a great setting for the final turns of the day. Perhaps 70% JOM out of the day.

Had lofty goals of skiing some on west face but ran out of energy for that. Saw energetic mountain goat on the way up Headlee. Thanks to solo climber who put in good boot pack for us. Snow on Headlee climb allowed for solid selfbelay with the axe, getting off snow was awkward because all the rock is loose.
