May 25, 2014, Colchuck Glacier

My first trip report, this being my 20th consecutive month.  3-4 years ago we hiked up to Colchuck lake and heard about some guys skiing this glacier this time of year and I've always wanted to go back.  I highly recommend it, not a bad hike, under 5 miles to the base of the glacier/snowfield which is nice and wide and steep.  Snow was great and we even had some new falling on us at the top.  Big props to Kevin being his first backcountry trip and only 10th time ever snowboarding.  I was able to borrow a GoPro and do a little edit without hurting my poor laptop too much.
